Hi! I’m Shawn, middle name Dyan (pronounced Diane).
Welcome to my digital beachy paradise! You’ve just stumbled upon an oasis of sun and salty air and coast parked right in the middle of the Midwest. This is a place where you can find a guaranteed ray of sunshine on a rainy day, and something guaranteed to warm your insides right up—even in the middle of winter.
Devoted to reminding us we can be happy and inspired in the midst of anything…and we are most definitely not alone.
This is where I explore my creativity and share my creative process. While I share stories about my life and experiences and wash away the parts that aren’t ME, I’m hoping you’ll join me in exploring your own story and creativity, and we can share inspiration for creating an easy-breezy oasis that feeds us with light and restoration, even in winter.
Here are some things that are nice to know around here:
- Shoes are optional (it’s the beach after all!)
- Creativity matters. Making time for it, learning to follow your instincts and learning from it.
- My heart and soul sings anywhere near the water and I love anything and everything beachy (except sunburn—that hurts! … and jellyfish—they hurt too!)
- Surrounding yourself with beautiful things can anchor you to warm weather and sunny skies, even if you live in the Midwest like me. And holding this magic in your heart can mean that you take with you a calm among the storm.
- On this twisting and winding journey through life, you are never alone.
